02 · The Founder · 1978–2012

Tony Brusca. Built from a one-car garage.

Tony Brusca began the ALBA business in 1978 by selling ALBA Quick Release Knockout Couplers from his home in Torrance, California. ALBA Enterprises, Inc. was formally founded in 1980 in Tony’s garage, and as the company grew, operations moved to an 11,000-square-foot facility in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

Tony built ALBA around innovative European technologies for the plastics industry, representing products including Babyplast® micro injection molding machines, VEGA® hydraulic cylinders, ALBA® Mold Couplers, Thermoplay® hot runner systems, and Gateblok® mold gating technology.

Known throughout the thermoplastic and Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) industries for his technical expertise and customer-first approach, Tony led ALBA until his passing in 2012, leaving behind a company founded on integrity, innovation, and long-term customer relationships.

03 · New Leadership · 2013–2018

John Dineen. New leadership, wider reach.

Following Tony’s passing, his sons briefly managed ALBA before John Dineen acquired the company in late 2013.

Reorganized as ALBA Enterprises, LLC, John expanded ALBA’s North American technical sales organization while growing its Thermoplay® hot runner business. In 2017, following Thermoplay’s acquisition by the Barnes Group, John relocated ALBA from Rancho Cucamonga back to its original hometown of Torrance, California.

In June 2018, John partnered with ROI Rich Oles Industries, LLC to develop ALBA’s long-term growth strategy. That relationship culminated in a merger and partnership later that year.

04 · Today’s Leadership · 2018–Present

Rich Oles. Engineering-led growth.

In November 2018, Rich Oles became President, CEO, and co-owner of ALBA Enterprises, LLC following the merger of ROI Rich Oles Industries, LLC into ALBA. The merger expanded ALBA beyond equipment distribution by adding engineering and consulting services to its portfolio.

Under Rich’s leadership, ALBA evolved into the diversified engineering company it is today—spanning injection molding products, engineering and consulting services, and turnkey injection molding systems.

In October 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, ALBA relocated its headquarters from Torrance, California, to Loveland, Colorado, where complete manufacturing cells are assembled, tested, and validated before shipment to customers worldwide.
